Museum of Flight 2021 Spirit of Flight Juried Photo Exhibition Finalists
I’m excited to have three photographs selected as finalists for the 2021 Spirit of Flight juried photo exhibition at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA. This photo titled “Working at Night” is one of them and is a shot of a nighttime engine run of a de Havilland D.H.98 Mosquito, a British WWII fighter plane.
Snowy Owl Featured in Seattle Times Reader’s Lens (January 20, 2021)
Photographing this Snowy Owl was one of my photography highlights of 2021. The owl was hanging out on a rooftop near downtown Seattle for several months this past winter. The photo was featured in the Seattle Times Reader’s Lens section in January 2021.

Cedar Waxwing Photo in February 4, 2018 Seattle Times
My photo of a Cedar Waxwing was published as the Seattle Times “Reader’s Lens” photograph for the week of 2/4/2018. These are amazing looking birds and I was lucky to recently find a flock dining in trees full of berries near Lake Ballinger in Mountlake Terrace, Washington.

Photo of Swallow-tailed Gull in December 2017 Birdwatching Magazine
This Swallow-tailed Gull was a long way from home when I photographed it on the waterfront in Edmonds, Washington, in early September. The bird was spotted in several places near Seattle for over a week. This was only the 3rd time one of these gulls that normally live on the Galapagos Islands has been seen in North America, and the first time in the state of Washington. Find another photo on my blog.
