Two years ago while on an Alaska cruise we went on a fantastic whale watch tour where we were able to watch and photograph humpback whales bubble feeding.

Bubble feeding is a cooperative feeding technique where the whales blow bubbles below schools of fish and then drive the fish into the bubble “net” that they create.  The whales then swim upwards through the bubble net, swallowing large quantities of fish as they go.  Truly an amazing thing to witness!
