I find it really hard to believe that it was 45 years ago this summer that man first landed on the moon. What a fascinating place and a great subject for a photograph.

The moon was looking especially fantastic one night a couple of weeks ago, and I decided to experiment with taking some photos of it with my 400 mm lens.  I was amazed at how much detail you can get in a photo – craters, shading, etc. – with a telephoto lens!
