Getting up and out the door at 5:00 AM isn’t typically my favorite thing to do, especially since it normally involves heading to work. There are exceptions to this however–for instance getting up at 5:00 AM to photograph a beautiful sunrise is well worth the effort.

I took this photo last week at Schwabacher Landing in Grand Teton National Park as the sun was starting to come up. It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful and peaceful place to be during the early morning hours.
