The Collings Foundation visited the Flying Heritage Collection museum at Paine Field in Everett, Washington, last weekend and brought along some great World War II airplanes. These included the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress “Nine-O-Nine” in the photo above, the Consolidated B-24J Liberator “Witchcraft” in the photo below and the North American TP-51C Mustang “Betty Jane” at the bottom of the page.

The TP-51C is especially interesting as the plane was reconfigured as a two seat trainer when it was rebuilt in 2002–most Mustangs were of course single seat airplanes.
