A few more shots of a male and a female Hooded Merganser at Lake Ballinger Park in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. These have got to be the most hip looking members of the “Anatidae” family of birds that includes ducks, geese and swans. The female in the photo below would look right at home in a 1970s punk rock band!
