I visited Olympic National Park a few weeks ago for the first time and my last post included some shots from Lake Crescent. This post looks at another amazing spot in the park, the Hoh Rain Forest. The rain forest is an amazing mix of huge trees, moss and giant ferns that thrive in an area which gets 140 to 170 inches of rain each year. During my visit there wasn’t any rain and the temperature was in the 80s, so I didn’t see the Hoh Rain Forest at its rainy best. It’s on my calendar for a return visit this fall or next spring for some more photography when the rain fully brings out the forest’s magnificent greens and textures!
