We get lots of geese here in the Pacific Northwest, although primarily Canada Geese, which I must admit I don’t especially care for when they visit my favorite local golf courses.  However, another type of geese that are a winter visitor to the area are Brant, which I think are much more interesting looking and a fun challenge to photograph due to the strong contrast present in their black and white coloring.  Here are a couple of shots of Brant from the Edmonds waterfront earlier this week.
