On a trip to the ocean last week at Long Beach, Washington, the weather was terrible and the light was even worse. I took a number of pictures, but due to the dull, rainy overcast weather, everything came out looking kind of black and white. Consequently, I decided to process this picture as a black and white photo since there really wasn’t much color in the photo to start with.
Not having much experience with the identification of shorebirds, I’m not sure exactly what species this bird is – can someone tell me if this is a Dunlin, a Sandpiper or a Sanderling? I’m pretty sure it’s one of those three, but they all look fairly similar!
