Part of a flock of Java Sparrows sitting in a tree on Kauai.  On a recent trip there, I would watch some of these little birds show up every morning in a palm tree outside my hotel room deck, waiting for the hotel staff to fill the bird feeders on the hotel grounds.  These particular Java Sparrows were part of a large flock sitting in a tree near the north end of the island one afternoon.
