Some photos of Short-eared owls from a recent trip on a foggy day to the Samish Flats in northwest Washington.  The owls came out and began to hunt late in the afternoon.  Unfortunately, due to the fog it was difficult to get very good photos, but the fog does add an interesting ethereal mood to the photos.
