In the state of Washington there are three national parks–Mount Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park and lesser known, but no less beautiful, North Cascades National Park.

Above is a shot of a switchback on the the highway that runs through North Cascades National Park and some of the park’s jagged mountains which have earned it the nickname the “American Alps.”
