This past weekend I visited Wapato Lake near Lake Chelan with my wife, hoping to do some birding. Wapato Lake is one of the stops on Audubon Washington’s “The Great Washington State Birding Trail” – stop #26 on the Cascade Loop to be exact. Unfortunately there weren’t many birds around, however I did get a couple of shots of a duck (above) and some Geese (below) on the lake. The water was crystal clear as you can tell from the reflection of the duck in the first picture. The fall colors of the foliage around the lake were also being reflected into the lake and made an interesting backdrop for the geese in the lower photo.
