I love fall. Of course there is always some sadness about the coming winter but fall’s crisp air and vivid colors are amazing. So this year I have been shooting some photographs of Edmonds, Washington fall colors to document my local fall color. I typically focus on birds and wildlife so it has been fun to branch out into a bit of “urban” photography.

Peak colors hadn’t arrived yet when I took these photos. It’s challenging to find a day in the Pacific Northwest that’s not cloudy and gray when the colors are at their peak, and sometimes you have to take what you can get even if it’s not ideal. So I was happy to get some good shots on a sunny day even if the colors weren’t yet at their peak.

You can find more of my photographs of the Edmonds area and Puget sound in this portfolio gallery.
